SAFINA, in a consortium of 8 prestigious organizations from Germany, Poland and Italy, became the solution provider of the prestigious scientific research project GlobalAM, financed under the Horizon Europe program.

We are glad to announce that SAFINA has become the solver of the prestigious scientific research project GlobalAM in a consortium of European companies led by the German company Bosch GmbH. The consortium brings together 8 dynamic organizations originating from Germany, Poland, Italy and the Czech Republic. This collaboration represents for SAFINA a key moment in our journey to innovation and technological excellence in the development of our own products.

The GlobalAM project is focused on pushing the boundaries in the using the additive manufacturing in welding non-ferrous alloys to ceramic substrates. SAFINA will play a key role as a major industrial partner in the GlobalAM project focusing on gas atomized non-ferrous alloys and weldability testing on selected materials using green and IR lasers. A partial goal of the project is also to test the use of the so-called “core-shell” powders in LPBF 3D printing technologies.

The organizational part of the project is sponsored by the German private innovation agency EurA AG. This company brings together top organizations from all over Europe with the aim of promoting innovation and pushing the boundaries in the development of modern technologies. SAFINA hopes to gain valuable experience in joint development with industrial partners and universities across Europe since joining the project.

SAFINA perceives additive manufacturing as one of the key sectors for its further development and is determined to continue with other development projects in order to secure its position at the top of suppliers of non-ferrous alloys in the coming years as well.
